Coupon Rules
Last updated: September 19, 2026 · Effective: September 19, 2026
Coupons are our way of saying thank you. So you always know where you stand, here is how they work.
Common coupon types
- Money-off: a fixed amount off once your order reaches the stated threshold;
- Percentage off: a percentage discount, usually with a maximum discount cap;
- Free shipping: covers the standard shipping fee;
- New customer: usable only on a first order.

How to enter a coupon code
- Add your items to the cart and go to checkout;
- type the code (not case-sensitive) into the coupon / promo code field;
- click apply — the page recalculates and shows the discounted amount straight away;
- submit the order only once the amount is correct. If no discount appears, the coupon's conditions are not met.
How to use them
- One coupon per order, unless that coupon is explicitly marked as stackable;
- Coupons must be used before they expire; expired coupons stop working with no separate notice and are not reissued;
- The minimum spend on the coupon must be met — thresholds are based on item value and exclude shipping, duties and taxes;
- Most coupons are single-use; some have a per-customer usage limit;
- "New customer only" coupons may be used only by an account placing its first order, and must be used on that first order after registration;
- Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred or resold;
- Coupons cannot be applied retrospectively — once an order is submitted you cannot add a coupon or switch to a different one.
Interacting with membership benefits and other offers
Member tier discounts are an account benefit and can usually be combined with a coupon. If a coupon states that it cannot be used with member discounts, the coupon's own rule applies. The final amount is always what checkout calculates.
Refunds and coupons
- Refunds are based on the amount you actually paid, i.e. after the coupon discount.
- Where you paid with points, vouchers or coupons, once you return the goods we return that value in the corresponding form — points back as points, vouchers back as vouchers, coupons back as coupons.
- A coupon is not restored only where its terms clearly stated at the time it was issued that it is not returned on a refund. Any such term is shown on the coupon or the campaign page in advance — never added afterwards.
- Where a partial return from a bundle or spend-and-save promotion means the promotion no longer applies, the order is recalculated at the individual prices agreed at purchase and any difference is settled.
- If you took part in a free-shipping-over-threshold promotion and a return brings the order below the threshold, we may deduct the corresponding shipping fee from the refund.
If an order is cancelled or payment fails
- If an order is cancelled because it was not paid within the payment window, or is cancelled by us: a coupon that is still within its validity period is returned to your account automatically and can be used again;
- an expired coupon is not returned and is not extended;
- if the order was paid and then returned, the section "Refunds and coupons" above applies.
Misapplied coupons and system errors
If a system, pricing or offer-configuration error means a coupon is misapplied, used more than once, or applied in a clearly anomalous way, we may cancel the affected orders and refund you in full, or agree a corrected amount with you and continue. We will also correct the error promptly and let affected customers know.
Abuse and risk control
If we find discounts obtained through fake accounts, bulk ordering or repeated reuse on the same account, we may cancel the affected orders, recover the discount and restrict the account.
Coupon not working?
Check in order: is it still valid, does your order meet the threshold, are the items within the coupon's scope, and have you already applied another coupon? If everything looks right, send the code and your order number to info@melece.com.
Checkout is the final word
We may promote different offers in emails, on-site pop-ups and on our pages. Whether any particular discount applies, and how much it is worth, is always determined by what checkout calculates for your cart in real time. If what you saw differs from checkout, checkout governs — and please do contact us so we can check it.
